August 1- October 16- Annual Four Seasons of SML Photo Contest

The Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce features an annual "Four Seasons of SML" photo contest open to local amateur photographers. The contest begins in August and finishes up in October. Judging takes place the week after the deadline for submission and 16 cash prizes are awarded to the lucky winners. Winning photos may be used in SML advertising/marketing in both local and national publications. Photo credit is given where possible.

Guidelines include:
- All photos must be of the Smith Mountain Lake area or of lake activities.
- Photographs can be color or black and white with no frames or matting.
- Prints must be at least 8”X10” and no larger than 11”X 14”.Unframed
- Digital photos are accepted (high resolution 2400 x 3600 pixel minimum)
- Entry fee of $3 for the first entry and $2 for each additional photo.
- Entrants are limited to two photos per category
Entry forms with the complete set of rules and model release forms are available at the SML Visitor Center at Bridgewater Plaza just south of the Hales Ford Bridge in Moneta. The center is on the street level of the facility. |
